LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) is a lightweight client-server protocol for accessing directory services. With LDAP support JReport Server enables you to import users/groups from the directory servers. JReport Server can also access an LDAP server directly using the LDAP Security API implementation.
Currently the following directory servers are supported: Novell Directory Server, Microsoft Site Server, iPlanet Directory Server, Win2000 Active Directory, Lotus Domino on NT, and OpenLDAP Directory Server. If you need access to a different directory server, contact your JReport Sales Representative. New servers are frequently being added.
